Grilled Tequila Lime shrimp
We had a beautiful weekend here in Wisconsin. Today it reached over 70 degrees. When it gets that nice out this early in spring you can smell grilling in the air. Seems like everyone is outside grilling and enjoying the beautiful weather. We grilled out Friday ,Saturday, and Sunday. Friday we had bone in chicken breasts, Saturday was burgers, and now today, Sunday we are having shrimp!
I love shrimp and there is no better way to have it then on the grill. My husband is the grill master, but I do all the seasoning. Today I decided on a tequila lime marinade. I found a bottle of tequila hiding in the back of the liquor cabinet with just enough tequila in it to make the marinade for the shrimp. Tequila and lime are a great combination of flavor to use on shrimp. I also added some garlic and cilantro to add some flavor. Delicious!!
My kids at least ate some, but my husband and I really liked it. Today we had it with some white rice, but next time I will try it with something different. I think these shrimp would also be good as shrimp tacos or even on top of a steak.
All in all this is a good easy recipe and if you love shrimp then you should try it out.
I hope you’re all as excited about the nice weather as we are and you’re out there grilling food as well!
